Demo of Sitting Stretches in Taekwondo
As with any sport or exercise, it is important to warm up before you work out. The same is true of Taekwondo. In a typical class, the instructor will have students warm up with some cardio first which may consist of running around the gym or some kind of running game. Then, the instructor will have you perform a series of stretches to help prevent injuries during class.
You may also performs a series of stretches at the end of class to help with releasing any lactic acid build up in your muscles from your work out. In the video below, you will see a demo of some typical sitting stretches that may be performed in a Taekwondo class.
